OK--having a Walk-a-thon Rally where I need to get about 450 jaded middle schoolers completely hyped to participate in a walk-a-thon . We need some more big bucks for our handicapped accessible playground and this event is a biggie.

We're offering good prizes:

$100 Gift Card to Store of their choice
$50 Gift Card to Store of their choice
Color VideoNow with a Disc and Disc Carrier
$25 Gift Certificate to store of their choice

Plus raffles for other various prizes if they fill out their plege sheet.

While the prizes are good, I've the feeling the lower grades (we're a K-8) will be into it more than the bigger, and I really need everyones' help.

Short of throwing money into their midst and screaming like a lunatic, any suggestions on how to get them motivated to raise money?

Or should I just beg?
