I would love to use the school -- but they only have one line -- have no money to go for another -- besides -- I would want the ability to change the announcements whenever necessary -- like yesterday on the weekend -- we had to inform EVERYONE that the picnic was going to be rescheduled -- I do not have access to the school after hours -- the web page woul dbe good except - not all of our families (or parents) have web access -- in this day and age I know that sounds strange -- but that is "just the way things are".

If you just want a message left for people to call in and hear, can the school get an extra extension with a voice mail recording that doesn't accept messages? Seems like this would be handy for them as well for different school closings or updates.

Or can you get a webpage set up for such announcements?

We are looking for a free way to have an outgoing voice messaging system for our association -- for parents to call into a local number and get a message from our group. For example -- yesterday when we had to cancel out back to school picnic due to rain and flooding -- but did not have all phone numbers. I've been looking online for voicemail systems - but cannot find a freebe that can give me a local number. Any ideas?
