"Kleenex and Coffee" for our kindergarten parents on the first day of school.
This was wonderful. After the kids went into class, there was coffee, juice, bagels, donuts, fruit, ect. waiting in the library. We had a Q&A session about school programs and practices, plus we talked about how the first day for the first kindergartener was harder on moms & dads than the kids.
I was really glad they did it. I felt more comfortable at the school. It made me feel more comfortable volunteering too.
Have you ever done a traveling dinner (something like that) Different homes have different foods but instead you have different courses in different parts of the school.
