IF YOU ARE A PAID MEMBER THEN YES YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO GO AND INQUIRE DURING 'NEW BUSINESS' PLEASE BE PROFESSIONAL AND STATE THAT YOU WERE NEVER GIVEN A REASON AND YOU FEEL AND INVESTIGATION IS IN ORDER. THEN BY ALL MEANS GO TO THE DISTRCIT WITH YOUR REQUEST AS WELL.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

Rumors was created by <petcar>
I was asked in November to resign from my vice president position on the PTO dueto rumors. I was not told what the rumors were and was not aware that I did anything wrong. There was a personal issue between myself and a person in administration but that should not have been an issue. It has been a couple of months since they voted me out (because I refused to resign until I was told why!) I never made a big fuss. When I was asked by anyone what happened, I just said it was personal issues with someone in administration and that person requested that the PTO executive board vote me out.(that is what I was told happened in the end) I NEVER blammed the PTO directly. I have been very upset though, that I have had rumors flying back at me that they have gone around telling people that I am a trouble maker. I have no idea why and everyone that has told me these rumors are very upset that the executive board is being so unprofessional when I handled the hole thing very professioanlly. Can I go to a PTO meeting and ask them for an apology? I feel that the rest of the general membership has a right to know what they stand for. They sit around in the main lobby during the day talking about other people and even other people on the executive board. I feel that since this is the reason they gave me for voting me out, they should be put on the spot too. Any advice?
