Breaking from the district

You can amaze yourself with the lengths you'll go to insure your children receive a quality education. I too have found myself going way beyond the cookie baking I remember my mother doing when I was a kid! But if we don't speak up and get involved it means allowing someone else to make the decisions for our kids based on their own knowledge and opinions. I don't trust anyone that much!

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Um yeah, it's come to the parent's attention during a school board meeting that our school is working at totally separating ourselves from the school district! As far as funding, we have our own business loan for our school building and the two additions we have made. Income from the district is only 80% what the district gives a public school (we are a charter school, not private) and we have also learned that the district has taking money from the school! AMAZING!
Among other things I need to work on this has just been hanging in my (already crowded ;) )head! Please keep in mind, this is ALL I know right now and do want to submit questions for the board to address.

You know, never in all my life did I EVER dream I would be THIS involved! ;)
