Every three months we have a barbeque for the students who earned enought points. The children still have to buy their lunch but the ptc buys something special to go along with lunch. during warmer weather we bought ice cream, this time I don't know what we are going to buy. the kids get to eat in a different area than the rest of the students and then they are recongnized at the quarter awards assembly also. the kids just love the barbeque. we also have a points system and its based on the grade level of the students. 1 point for 1st grade and so forth. once the kids reach the 5o points they receive a tshirt that the students will be designing. there also is pencils, free skate passes and other items. but most of that is paid for through the libarary fund. the ptc is paying for the tshirts.

We have a point joint where children can cash in AR points (PTO pays for the incentitives). There is also a pizza party each semester for the top readers in each grade. Those with the most points, highest scores, and most improved over goal attend.

How many schools participate in this program and what, if any incentives are provided for students? We have an end-of-the-year celebration with trophies for each grade level, but this has fallen to complaint. What does everyone else do?
