I signed our school up for this last year and received a ton of those coupons. It was great, we found a ton of uses for them. I'm wondering if anyone has received them this year yet. You are not supposed to have to sign up every year and they just automatically ship them in the fall. But, so far, we have not received ours for this year.

Spotlighting Students
Each K-12 school receives 100 Shooting Star Achievement Awards. These awards may be redeemed at any Hollywood Video for a free rental of any New Release, DVD, Game, or Hollywood Film Library® movie.
Teachers and coaches may use the Spotlight on Students coupons to encourage and reward their students. Here are some ideas for spotlighting students:
· Rewards for academic excellence in the classroom
· Rewards for athletic team members
· School carnival raffles
· Graduation, homecoming, or prom parties
Spotlighting Teachers
Each K-12 school receives 100 Spotlight on Education Coupons for the faculty. Teachers may redeem coupons for Hollywood Film Library® titles, which can be used as instructional aids in the classroom. These coupons, honored at all Hollywood Video stores, are for classroom purposes only, not personal use. So check our Film Library section for inspiration, education, and fun!
If schools do not incorporate movies into their curriculum, faculty members can utilize Spotlight on Education coupons to reward student achievement. These coupons will not be redeemed for staff personal use.

I don't know if they do this for everyone, but this summer I had all my kids and nieces at Build a Bear and started talking to the manager. I explained where we lived and that I was also in there purchasing items for a silent auction basket. She ended up giving me $50 worth of BAB stuff...whatever I chose. I hadn't planned on asking her, my daughter had just mentioned that we lived in Venezuela and the lady was curious about our school. If other BAB's aren't as generous, this incident proves that sometimes you just have to ask! :cool:

Blockbuster's Program is much smaller and more difficult to obtain. Donations of Video Rentals are usually handled at the Regional Level, rather than national; They provide rentals as a donation, but only in small quantities (like for a silent auction basket). You might find a Store Manager that would donate a movie rental (Managers in our area get a small # of rentals each week for personal use), but this is not their corporate policy.
