Historian Guidelines - Scrapbook - Outline Ideas and more

How's everyone's doing so far with their picture taking?

Don't forget to get pictures of your volunteers helping in the library, the cafeteria, the office, the copy room and any where else in the school youi can find moms and dads volunteering.

Don't forget to get a copy of every flyer that goes home from the PTO and PTA. If you have a carnival coming up, get a copy of that flyer too. If you have Donuts for Dad, or Muffins for MOm, or Volunteer orientation coming up - get that flyer too. Remember to get more than one copy of everything!

Hope all of you are having a great year.

Several presidents and chairmen have emailed me asking for anything I might have, pertaining to preparing and putting together a scrapbook- which many of the PTA and PTO units do every year. Usually the Historian or Publicity Chairman also is looking for some guidelines in their procedure book - and discover they have nothing to guide them.

As a former PTA historian (local and council units), I have put together a generic guideline so that Local PTA units who do not have Official Guidelines from their Council PTA or District PTA - hoping that Historians / Publicity chairmen might not feel so lost, and might be able to refer to the generic guidelines for insight and direction with their new role.

If you want a copy of that generic guideline too, then email me at the email address below - it's so much faster.

PS: Have fun, and be creative. Doing the scrapbook is one of the most fun roles on the PTA board.

PSS: Naturally,if anyone else has Historian Album Scrapbook Guidelines that they want to share with other local unit Historians, let us know here too - the more ideas we can share, the more inspired the chairmen.
