USing the term "PTO"

I think he may be confusing PTO with PTA.. Tim would be the expert on this topic.. and ya know what's funny? If you google PTO.. the 1st few hits you get are PTOTODAY! :)

never heard of that one before.

it would leave me Pretty Turned Off if my principal told me that and couldnt explain WHY.

go ask for the reasoning.

Yes...crazy principal. Perhaps if he informs you why he says that it will shed some light for all of us.

We have been informed by our principal that we can no longer be called PTO. I've done lots of research and cannot find any information to support this. The only thing that I have found is that the United States Patent and Trademark Office is sometimes referred to as the US PTO. Any thoughts or info on this? Thanks
