Is it appropriate to ask a staff member to please call you by your first name? Who can you address by their first name? Today as I was speaking to the Principle, I asked her to please call me by my first name, she said.... "Np, when I see you I see "Mrs......" I was a bit insulted, but thought I had overstepped myself with improper ediquette. It has me rethinking how I can address people at school as well. Should we all be on a last name basis?
