Your best bet for state-level parent group meetings with content like that is likely state PTA meetings. You can find links on www.pta.org
PTO Today holds several conferences/Expos for PTOs, but the content we have is much more: "how to run your parent group really well" as opposed to: "important content for parents."
Hi, This is my first visit to this site. My publicist has suggested I plan a speaking tour at various PTO conferences. However, my children have been out of school for a few years now, and I am not sure how many states hold meetings, etc. for the PTO members. I have been asked to speak about my new book which deals with misdiagnosis and over medication of antidepressants in teens (it is our families horror story about what happened to my sixteen year old son). I am supposed to be planning a "tour" but have yet to leave my kitchen since I don't know where I'm going or which group I'm speaking too! If anyone has any feedback or if you know where I can obtain a list of upcoming conferences or meetings, it would be greatly appreciated.
