Scrapbook events

The school my daughter attended previously did one every year. Last year they even did two. We did one that was on a Thursday evening from 6-9 in the cafeteria. We did a light dinner, sandwiches. (Make sure it is not messy, don't want spaghetti on those pages.) We charged $15.00 and they received a baggie with scrapbooking goodies. The goodies bags contained school mascot stickers, scrapbook paper with the mascot and school colors, a tape runner, etc. I think the goodie bags were only about $3.00 to make. The tape runner I think was donated by a Creative Memories consultant. We also had a few Creative Memories, Stampin Up, and other vendors set up tables for supplies that night. I think we charged them $30.00 instead of charging a commission. The second SB Fundraiser was a whole Saturday event. It started at 7 a.m. and went until 9 p.m. The goodie bags were the same I think. We did bagels for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and dinner was catered by a neighborhood diner. During the day, the vendors would hold small 30 minute presentations. Like the stampin up lady did one on how to make cards and she supplied the supplies to everyone. Same with the other vendors. We did door prizes and fun games. One game we did was a prize to who completed the most pages at the end of the day/night. I was amazed to see how fast those ladies worked. (Don't tell them or else they start pulling out pages from other albums and adding those. Sneaky!)

It is a fun event. I think we would of had a better turn out on Thursday if babysitting was provided. We felt that even with the kids next door, it would be hard to the moms/dads to have fun. So we made it a no kido event.

Good Luck...

Has anyone been involved with a scrapbook fundraiser event? We are having our first one in a few weeks and although I have attended several crops & classes I have never planned one especially as a fundraiser. Any suggestions would be grately appreciated. Thank you.
