PTO show who pays for travel

ptoqueen --

Rest easy -- it looks like (90% confirmed) that we will be in Texas next year. Likely the Dallas area and likely February or March. We'll also have a weekend element to the Show which -- when combined with the weekday element -- should create more opportunities for everyone to participate.

Can't wait.

Lisa @Tx I do not think you can attend PTA conferance unless you are a member. Which that would cost us over 700.00 a year! If you of a way i would greatly appreciate any advance! :D

Could you perhaps go to the PTA seminars??? Or would it be inappropriate to join PTA as well? The conference fee is only like $65; and it runs from Fri night to Sun afternoon (July 12-14 I think).

Just a thought.
Lisa @ Tx

PS We also have a budget of $1000, so mostly our Board goes. I won't get to go; unless I pay out of my own pocket.

I started doing my research to determine how much this trip from Texas would run me, when i realized that the meetings were held during the week. I guess i will not be able to attend because i would miss 3 days of works and it would cost over 500.00 in hotel and travel not to mention my salary. I wish PTO would have some meetings a little closer to Texas any chance of that?? i know PTA has them in San Antonio and Austin!

Far be it for me to give fashion advice, but....

I think most folks have been dressed comfortably at our Shows. If your school shirt is a PTO production, then it's definitely appropriate. I bet you'll even have folks asking about the Whys and hows of your shirt.

I'll look forward to saying "Hi."

Hey Munchkin, did you dress up for the PTO show? I sort of wanted to wear our school T-shirt but don't want to be underdressed. I'm very excited to attend. I hope to meet you Tim! :D
