Are you asking if your PTO/PTA should pay a teacher? or you personally pay? Why are you being asked to pay a teacher to run an afterschool program? I think we need more information in order to advise.

Need some advice. Is it kosher to pay a teacher to run afterschool, extra-curricular, academic activies? The teacher also wants money to buy supplies. I think supplies are OK to buy, but I am not comfortable paying a teacher a small salary (taxes and union fees?). Any advice, comments?
