stop fundraising, use same excuse the teachers use for not coming to meetings, see if they start showing an interest in the PTO..maybe that will get em to participate.
a PTO is just that, a collaboration of P and T, you are not a piggy bank for the T.
none of our teachers come to our meetings either, they stay out of the polictics, i have been told by staff. so there you have it, they dont like us, only our money. its up to you to decide if you want to raise funds if theres no good community atmosphere and teamwork. after all, teachers get PAID , PTO does not.

We had an executive meeting yesterday and I was told that the Teachers didn't come to the meetings cause they didn't feel the need to. That this is for the parents not the teachers. Well hells bells, we can't get parents to show up so how is it for them?? I don't know what to do and it is very frustrating. Any suggestions?? We have come up with some new fundraising ideas for next school year! But whats the point :( if we can't get anyone interested in this?
