staff shared info with a student

Where is the confidentality here? Why would any staff member involve your child in this. I would talk to someone about this as your child may not be the first time that a child has been in the middle of stuff with this staff person. this scares me thinking about the comments that were made...

At lunch the other day, my daughter was talking with a few of her friends (as 15 yr olds do) and the lunch supervisor (lets call her Z) asked to talk with my daughter. Z proceeded to let her know that another lunch staffer was overheard telling high school boys that a middle student looked "good" in her pants. Z then told the kids she didn't think he would be back in the lunch room. Yesterday, she took it upon herself to share that this staff member had been fired (which they knew becasue his son is in their group).

I know all this from speaking with her supervisior the Dean of Students because he told me today that he spoke with my daughter and apologized that she got in the middle of all this.
The staff member was let go, and the otehr staff member did say what she did probably not approprate. Probably???
So I'm eating lunch and Z comes over to me and asks what I was doing today and were I volunteer blah blah blah, I honestly think she forgot I am THE MOM!!!
DO I leave this or what? I have a great repore with everyone but the Dean is leaving in July and I knowI can talk to the high school principal (I spoke with him prior to knowing it was more than a rumor).

Yes she made a mistake but how much room do you allow?
