Have tried to meet with the principal, as well as the president of the PTO, but neither of them has time for it. I would have liked the know the vision of school but apparently, this was not possible at our school!

Please be aware that PTO is a valuable asset to every school. The principal does however have the ultimate autority to not agree or approve certain events or other issues. The money that is spent by the PTO should ultimately help academic achievment in the school. If this is being done then I do not see why someone would have a problem with PTO. As a principal though I have noticed how hard it is when say they try to beautify the grounds and form year to year someone adds a little more until the principal has a nithgmer on their hands of maintaining the grounds. Get this person to share there vision of what they want the focus to be each year. This may help.
