Thinking some more about it--- your minutes should contain enough info that you could piece the contents of the old bylaws together. That's if proper minutes were taken. If not, that's something else you might need to work on.

You can still treat the ones you have as proposed amendments and vote on those. Or if you want to you can pass a motion to form a bylaw amendment committee, so you can start fresh.
Make sure you include an article on parliamentary authority (Roberts Rules?) so when you omit something(and you WILL omit), you have some direction and guidance to counsel your group.

The real problem there is that no copy of any unrevised or amended by-laws is available. Would it be a good idea to simply start over?

Request the minutes from last year. If amendments were made to your bylaws, the exact wording of these "approved" amendments should be in your minutes. As a board member, you have access to both board and general minutes. If you find no minutes to support the changes, get them to either annul the changes or go thru the proper amendment procedures.

I requested a copy of our by-laws. I received a copy of by-laws that said they were ammended last year. Having been on the board for the last 2 years I know the amendmants were never discussed. The board said that the amendments were only typo mistakes. It should be said that the principal and I do not see eye-to-eye on some key issues. I wouls appreciate any advice that is available.
