Teacher Appreciation Week

20 years 4 months ago #64888 by nonsequitur
Lunches come to mind.

Cards signed by parents and/or students.

I had a thought about how you might get volunteers to help out.

Do a survey of the teachers. Find out how much time they spend outside of class on school, how much of their own money they spend on the class supplies, how many moonlight so they can afford to teach (I worked at one restaurant where half the dinner wait staff were teachers and they graded papers on their breaks) and anything else that shows how valuable they are.

Make this info very widely publicized as you ask for help to show appreciation.

Our parent group will be showing our appreciation to teachers and the support staff with a luncheon and small gifts. We would like to do things all week, any suggestions.

Thanks,
Debbie
