She's one of those people (regardless of their job or position or whatnot) that can just do things better then anyone else. You know those types that regardless of how good of an idea or how good you run something or whatever you do.....they can do it better. To bad shes the principal because I think those people just cause heartache. I wouldn't take her comments personal esp being the fact that she is benefitting by yours and the others hard work.

I'm relatively new to the whole PTO scene, but from what I've seen in our school, the Principal is running the show--from the sidelines. She tends to undermine the efforts of the officers by telling the teachers she "would have orchestrated" things differently. This makes the officers look incompetent while she saves face. We recently had a very successful fundraiser and are trying to decide how best to spend the money. The principal presented one idea that seemed interesting until some of the parents disagreed. In an effort to facilitate communication between the needs of the teachers and the parents of the pto, the board sent out a simple questionnare asking for ideas. Can you tell me why the principal thought this was not a good idea? Is it her money to spend? Or ours? Isn't she putting herself at some liability by trying to spend money raised by the parents? Don't the parents have the ultimate say? I'm lost.
