I really like the "teachers are souper" idea, and I'm going to steal that one for May....

Other ideas we've done are: Picnic lunch (with plastic ants,) Salad bar (provide different toppings and dressings) and Pasta bar (provide plain pasta with different sauces.

We are also doing a "teachers are souper" luncheon and the door prize is a soup pot with several soup starters, wooden spoons, and a recipe CD. Our first luncheon was an "American BBQ" (we're in Venezuela) where we served brisket, cole slaw and dessert. Our door prize was a jar of peanut butter (hard to find here and very expensive if you do find it), a jar of grape jelly (not available here and a loaf of bread. Our third one will be "Your just desserts" with desserts and fruits and our prize will be brownie and cake mixes, cake plate, etc. Our fourth one is a Tex-Mex theme (many of our families are from that area) and the prize is still to be decided.

Our staff loves these meals, not just because they feel appreciated, but also because our non-American staff (the majority) get to experience a bit of our culture.

Our organization wants to put together monthly teacher luncheons - which I think will be a great idea - to let teachers and staff know they are greatly appreciated through out the year.

Our first luncheon theme is "Teachers are Souper"

Parent volunteers will bring in soups and trimmings for the teachers and staff one day this month.

Does anyone have any ideas to go along with this luncheon theme?

Do you have any other luncheon theme ideas?
