Teachers vs Staff Appreciation

Every now and then do something "just because". This morning I walked in the office with a dozen donuts and saw the secretaries and school nurse looking sad. I told them that the donuts were for them and their faces lit up. I said that things are always put in the teacher's lounge, but that it appeared the office staff was overlooked. Our secretaries and custodial staff does as much for the PTO, if not more, than the teachers, and get little recognition. Little things like this and showing up with a Subway sandwich for the custodian who works an evening event, or handing them a whole leftover pizza at the end of the night really has gotten me just about anything I need from these people. It helps to kiss their tails every now and then, too, and it can be done very cheaply. (Hope that came out right.)

We do goodies for teachers during conference weeks and then a Staff Appreciation in May. Usaully we put little goodies in teacher boxes each day of conference week.Last year some of the staff (aids, librarian, spec ed., etc) felt left out during the conference week goodies. Anyone have ideas about treating teachers during conference week without offending rest of the staff? We have a great Staff Appreciation week, but don't want to hurt feelings during the 2 conference weeks. Ideas?
