Chief Administrator Threatens to Disband

21 years 9 months ago #63898 by DTSParent
Chief Administrator Threatens to Disband was created by DTSParent
Today our PTO was informed that our Chief School Administrator has decided to disband the PTO with the intent of setting up a new one with new members. The current PTO staff has been in place for several years and very successful with the school. The PTO is well liked by the teachers and the remainder of the staff but is in recent conflict with the Chief School Administrator who is new to the school as of a couple years ago. To start the CSA attacked the Bylaws of the PTO stating that they were not being "followed to the letter" so the PTO tool action to clarify and modify them. NOw, the threat of disbanding and replacement is looming. Is there any recourse for this? Can a CSA do this at their wish or does is require some legal involvement? ANY HELP OR ADVISE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED - This is a mess and our kids are the ones who will suffer!
