A few of us fathers who work for IT companies have asked school if we could volunteer in upgrading compters, computer lab help, etc.
School has substandard if much in the way of computers and integrated library or computer lab(i.e computers as webquest or research stations)
School informed us all volunteers are coordinated thru school PTA
Our schools PTA president and volunteer coordinator(s) have told us since we arent PTA members (but our children attend the school) the PTA members are given first priority for volunteering or requesting to volunteer in a certain specialty or expertience.. therefore we arent needed
