PTO By-laws for the state of Hawaii

Juanita-
By-laws are not state specific. If you are seeking to be tax-exempt under the IRS ( this is 501c3), they have some requirements that you can get from their site. Once you get past the techincal stuff, it really just comes down to what your group wants. If you look at some of the other threads in this section, some schools have posted links to their school sites w/some really good examples. MacArthur school is great. If you have any specific questions, the guys & gals on this site are great w/advice & tips. There is lots of experience here.(I'm a newbie myself). Good Luck:)!

Would anybody have information on by-laws in the state of Hawaii. I would like to start a PTO at our elementary school but need a heads up on the important facts. Thanks so much! Aloha!! ;)
