I am looking for some guidance as to whether a PTO can give cash directly to the teachers (with no receipt) instead of to the District to disburse to the teachers. The money being given to the teachers is from the PTO's fundraising efforts. What procedure do other PTOs use? Is there any information out there which provides any guidance regarding this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
