Need Bylaws

Our Charter is posted at:

www.macarthurschool.com/pto.htm

Click on the link to view the Charter in PDF format (it is on the left hand side under the babelfish ad).

It should contain what you are looking for regarding Exec Bd. positions and responsibilities, elections, committees, and amendments.

We are a 501c3 (approved by IRS) so it also contains financial information, a non-politcs statement, a dissolution process and some other things that might be helpful.

If you have your own EIN you are supposed to file Federal and State tax returns each year, unless you are a 501c3 Non-Profit and then there are different forms you need to file.

Good luck!

Do a search for bylaws and you should come up with some sites. Also ours are posted at brentpto.com so you can have a look. They're not the best but they get us through things...dianna

Our Pto bylaws are incomplete. I was wondering if any one has a copy of bylaws they could give me. Our bylaws just have our job decriptions listed. Nothing about how to run the organization, elections or changing of the bylaws. I questioned the current President about following roberts rules of order and his statement was that they were stupid. I know that a lot of things are being done incorrectly and possibly illegaly? Could any one help? Also, if we have an "EIN" number, do we have to send anything to the IRS yearly? Help
