If you suspect there is missing PTO funds from your schools account, how can you go about finding out where they went? Without accussing anyone of taking them? There has been an a good amount of money missing from our account fo awhile now and a few parents are wondering how we can find out where it has gone. We do get an "accounting" sheet each month BUT over our last summer break, from may to August there was roughly, $10,000 unaccounted for. And we have been patient and tried to give the treasure time to explain where these funds went. But there has been nothing! We have NO by laws!! What can we do?? There could be a good explaination to where to money went but no one has told us, we just would like to know! That is all. Is that our right as parents involved in the PTO? Considering our children helped to raise this money in the fundraisers. Any advice on how to approach this situation is welcomed! Also, to the best of our knowledge no big purchases were made.
