How detailed you write new by-laws depends on why you are doing them. If you want to get IRS Non-Profit approval you need to be much more specific in what is included. From the same page, click on the link below the Charter to see the process we followed in getting Non-Profit approval.
Our current pto has no by-laws they were not handed over last year when the new officers were elected. We have no idea how to begin writing new by-laws, does anyone have a guide or any suggestion on how we can create them???
