Looking for sample Bylaws

Our PTO is an approved 501C3 (Non-Profit) by the IRS and a Public Charity under state law (MA).

Our Charter was approved by the IRS (Articles of Incorporation) and are posted on this page:

www.macarthurschool.com/pto.htm

Click on the link on the left hand side under the BabelFish ad to see the Charter (PDF format).

Just under the Charter is a guide to achieving Non Profit status. It walks you through the steps necessary to apply with the IRS (and also in the state of MA).

I found out today that one of the other elem schools in town just got their IRS approval letter. I am very happy for them, especially since I helped them (just a little) work through the process.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

We are starting a new charter school and we are looking at writing our by-laws. Could I get a copy of your by-laws just to give me an idea of what I need to do?

Hello....

I was unable to register at this moment but wanted to post my question...

The PTO at our school is going through some tough times right now and will be revamping for next school year.

I am interested in bylaws that you may have for your group, hearing what works in your bylaws, and what you wish you did or did not have in them.

Thank you!
