Members and parli procedure

19 years 1 week ago #60108 by ptohyeah
You know, that's probably not a bad idea to at least do an outline of how to follow procedure. While teachers and staff are familiar with business and making motions and amending, I had no clue coming in as a parent. There are still things I'm not familiar with. It's a good idea! I wonder too if others do this.

Most everything I've read about Robert's Rules say that members should be somewhat aware of parlimentary procedures. Do you outline parli for your members or provide some kind of trainings (for chairpersons, etc)? It would be very helpful and some members (and even officers) knew at least a little about it. I am wondering if I should do something to inform people or just leave it alone.
