We just filed our 501(c)(3) application with the IRS for Federal non-profit status. It wasn't until last week that I saw on another website that some states required that you do a separate state application. (I had assumed that the Federal one would cover everything.) Our state, California, is one of them. Can anyone tell me what I need to file, and is there a CA website where I can find the form(s)?
