Can you sponsor another "club"s raffle with your license?

I would also see if the PTO could " host" the raffle knowing the money will be given to the band boosters. Is that an option if the first doesn't work?

Sounds like fun though!

This is governed by the specified body in your state government. Are you in NJ? If so, it looks like it's is the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission under your Office of Attorney General.

You should consult them about this.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I read somewhere and I can not for the life of me remember where that a PTO can "sponsor" another groups raffle and use their license to do that. Here is the predicament: My daughter belongs to a HS music program that has a music booster club. Now this club does not have bylaws or anything like that. They wanted to do a raffle to raise some funds for a trip to Florida next year. Basically to help the students with the expenses of traveling.(NJ to FL.) Someone suggested doing a raffle in which the prize was having the marching band come to your home (lawn) and play for you. We think it is a great idea, however, a license would be needed to do that. The group does not have one and probably would not be able to get one with the stringent controls and requirements here in NJ and other mitigating factors I will not go into at the moment. I did read somewhere that you can use another license from another organization if you have them listed somewhere as helping to sponsor the raffle or event. Does anyone know anything about that? Your help is appreciated. :D
