By-laws are not enforceable if they have not been approved by the general group. The board can't vote them in by themselves. Are you saying you have old AND new by-laws that were never voted on??

What if they were never voted on? Do we as the new board have to vote on them and make them offical?

At your first official meeting, the voting members should vote to accept the bylaws. Unless there are old bylaws, in that case you would have to read them to see how they require you to do business.

Okay i just took over being President for our PTO. What do i do if the By laws are the proposed bylaws? they have never been voted on. How do i go about getting these to be our bylaws? Thank you in advance for your help.
