Since I've been involved, we raise probably somewhere between $15,000 to $18,0000 a year.
But that money is then put back into the school in various progects.
Our school has had a PTO for many years, but no one has ever filed for tax exempt status. Does anyone know when we file are we going to be asked about previous years? We have had a very poorly organized PTO in years past, providing documentation is going to be very difficult. I want to get things going in the right direction but I am in limbo not knowing what to do first towards this tax exempt status. Does anyone have a suggestion.
