What I did was distribute a short survey with 5 or 6 questions like - what would make this the best PTO ever? What's the most impoortant job we have?

Not everyone returned the forms, but that's to be expected. The one's I got back were AMAZING! Parent s have such great ideas....and such simple ones!

We would then take our answers and brainstorm our MS. I could have written it myself and saved alot of greif, but it would have meant nothing.

Try to go along with the Mission Statement - that the school has. If they have one in place. If you need some I will send you what I have.

Can anyone give me some sites where I can view Mission Statements from other PTO's. We are in the process of making by-laws and mission statement and would like to see some organizations version of their mission statement. Thanks
