Ray you need to look at the thread "should we sponsor boy scout pack?" in the day to day section before you decide. I am a cub scout den leader and if you read the terms we have made with our school, including the fact that we have insurance in case something does happen, takes most of the liability off of you.

at my school we are having an issue with chartering the cub scout (due to the liablity involving us the pto , can be sued). we are trying to have them get another sponsor, but they said they will pack the meeting with cubs parent so the vote will win . i'm wondering it there is any rules that say we can't charter or sponsor a group that discriminates. our pto is incorporated. any ideas help so. this is causing a great rife in your school.
