Q: I am a Non-profit Organization,. What do I need to make sure my business does not get canceled?

A: Non profit organizations are required to file a Statement of Continued Existence every five years. Be sure that the information concerning your Statutory Agent in our records is kept current. The Statutory Agent is an individual or corporation within the State of Ohio that can be contacted concerning the company in question.

From the sounds of it, it is an important sounding word used for "contact person"

I'm filling out Ohio's Initial Articles of Incorporation form and I have a couple questions I'm hoping someone can answer.
1. Do I need to send anything else in with the Articles of Incorporation? The instructions don't say.
2. Original Appointment of Statutory Agent: Can this be the president (me) or does it need to be someone else? I'm also one of the authorized representatives.
3. What exactly is the Statutory Agent's responsibilty?
