PTO stagnated to the point where same officers just switch positions

How do they get any help from parents?!!! Can't the principal step in? Our parents would be in the office until something was done. Myself and 3 other ladies have been officers for 2 years and even though we're not ready to step down, we feel that if we don't we're relating the message that it can't be done by anyone else. Just because what we do seems to work doesn't mean there's not a better, easier or even different way it can be done. We've agreed to step down next year but have already offered to be chairperson of different committees to help the next year officers out. Its just less work they will have to do!! Good luck! ;) ;)

We have a problem where the same girls are going around the chairs of the PTO.They have not audited their books in 9 years and refuse for an audit to be done even though the membership has expressed an interest for the audit. They gave the chair to one girl and told her that they had to pick those on the committee. So they will pick their friends and there will be no audit. What should the membership do? :(
