Help! I am the new Prez this year and I was renewing our CD and found a Tax ID # on it. I was under the impression we did not have one! So, I am clueless as to where this # came from. I am wondering if it is just used for tax purposes, or can we use it to be exempt from paying sales tax on our purchases also. I have been told it is only for tax reporting, not for tax exemption.
