HELP! Tim, as soon as the info on the PTO Today insurance becomes available, PLEASE let us know!! We are voting on the budget next week, and I am hoping that I don;t have to put $1000 in for insurance!!! We have finally straightened out the IRS mess, and all the compliance issues that previous boards apparently ignored..now I need to fill in the insurance blanks!! Good to know there are others (many!) out there who are in our shoes!!!!!! It has helped me tremendously!!!!!!!

Susieq - if you can do so without being a commercial - can you let us know who (company) you go through for your insurance. Sounds like good coverage and good value. If you'd prefer to email me that's great, too This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Help! We applied for the Liability Plus plan thru Nuccio & Associates only to find out that the policy isn't approved for issue in the state of Washington! This policy would have cost us $350 for the year. Now we are back to square one. Do you have any new information about discounts? Is there anyone out there with this type of insurance in Washington State? Thanks.

Tim - our group, too, is new and looking to have insurance when the school year starts. Have gotten info from Nuccio's site (which is awesome, by the way - not at all invasive - do it yourself kind of thing and they don't harass you with phone calls and NO I don't work for them, this is not a commercial!) I was unable to get info on a second carrier, however. Would love to hear details on the discount we can look forward to buying in bulk, but being new we have lots to do over the summer and need to be sure we've got all our bases covered until we actually have the insurance. Your teasers are killing me!!!!!!!

Hey Tim
When do you think the information on PTO insurance will be out. Is it going to be in the PTO Magazine or special notice. Let me know. We are a new group and are looking for insurance before next August. Thanks

As a PTA we paid $170.00 last year for this past year's insurance. We just recvd our premium for 7/1/02-6/30/02 and it is now $195.00 due to largely the 9/11 incident. It covers 3 areas for our unit.
Our insurance covers $2 million basic coverage and a $15 million umbrella for liability. This protects our unit in case of injury during a PTA event. It also includes
Directors and Officers Insurance which protects our unit on decisions made by our unit. There is a $5 million basic coverage here. It also includes Dishonesty, Disappearance, and Destruction - This is the basic crime insurance and bond for those PTA officers and volunteers who hanlde money for the PTA. For a loss inside or outside the premises there is a $25,000 coverage. For dishonesty or forgery there is a $200,000 coverage. For each incident there is a $500.00 deductable.
