PTA president troubles

hang in there. i have found that the extreme pto volunteers often "spin" themselves out of control. our pto had some really nasty officers. they thought nothing of talking among themselves in meetings about other members. it is almost like the mean girls club. i have decided to simply focus my efforts in my childs class, not the school as a whole. sometimes its ok to walk away. these are not women i would choose as friends anyway. its too bad, since i WAS a large financial contributer to the school...oh well...their loss...

The president of our pta is "bullying" our members and other officers. She talks very demeaning to them. At just about every minute the principal seems to have to interject her rude and negative comments. I do not see anything in our bylaws on how to handle something like this. She has been spoken to by the principal and I myself (vp-pta) have even said something to her.

It really is sad because she does alot for the pta but is also scaring members away. Our last meeting had two new parents there that ended up getting up leaving mid meeting.

Thanks for your help.
