Our bylaws currently deal only with removal of officers....thanks for getting us thinking about removal of members. Fortunately we havent had to deal with that yet!

"Officers can be removed from office with or without cause by two-thirds vote of those present (assuming a quorum) at a regular meeting where previous notice has been given."

We don't have such a clause, but here are some samples from elsewhere. You might also look at "Code of Conduct"

CONDUCT CLAUSE
Members who exhibit unacceptable conduct or conduct that conflicts with the philosophy or charter of the club are subject to dismissal from the club and its activities.

A majority of unfavorable votes from the Board by secret ballot will result in dismissal. Members who have been expelled may apply for reinstatement after one year from the date of expulsion.

Dismissal will come in the form of a letter from the Board.

Conduct Clause was created by WFS
I've seen items that have referred to having a Conduct Clause in the bylaws so that a person can be removed from their position on the Board as a Chairperson or maybe even as an Executive Board member. Can anyone provide their wording from their bylaws on this? Although it is too late to change ours this year, we had issues this year and I would like to leave them for the new President coming into office for next year. They can then update the bylaws and incorporate the wording.
I'd appreciate any & all assistance.
