Volunteer Appreciation Garden
Volunteers who worked so hard to make the Hopkins Hill Elementary School’s playground a reality received a special and lasting thank-you: The PTA created a volunteer dedication garden. As part of the ceremony to open the new facility, leaders planted a tree, rose bushes, and other plants next to the playground in honor of the project’s volunteers. Students were invited to spread handfuls of mulch. Says PTA leader Lisa Tomasso, “We wanted the children to know all about the hard work involved.”
