Scrapbooking Fundraiser
“Last year we held an event that was a lot of fun and practically ran itself—a scrapbooking day. We called our event Croppin’ for Kids’ Sake. We sold admission tickets to people who wanted a whole day to get together to work on their scrapbooks. We provided the venue (our school cafeteria), tables, a box lunch, and access to vendors. The vendors sold craft items and offered 15-minute workshops. They also provided items for all-day raffles. People who brought an item for the local food pantry received a free raffle ticket. We also invited some vendors not related to scrapbooking, like a coffee and tea shop and a person who sells handmade purses. The vendors did all the work, plus they benefited from having the forum to show their wares. We raised almost $1,000 for the day and had fun doing it.”
