re all for anything and anyone speaking out loudly in favor of the importance of parent involvement, as this candidate is doing in Connecticut

Couple of key notes, however:  1) Real key will be whether actions in office follow the campaign rhetoric.  It's easy (and always gets points with the voters) to tout involvement proposals on the stump.  Much trickier to facilitate real change. 2) Is the "parent report card" model the way to go.  Says here that the report card can be a powerful tool if used well and if reports measure the right things.  Will follow this story...
