Kids’ Chore Fundraiser
A successful fundraiser made for cleaner houses for Sardis Elementary families. The PTO challenged students to do chores for $1 each. Letters home encouraged kids to offer family members services like sweeping, pulling weeds, and making beds. The only prize was a certificate filled out by the students themselves; the rest of the money was put toward a new playground and classroom computers. “We made over $700,” says PTO member Corinne White. “Better yet, we helped parents with at least 700 chores!”
