Keep Fundraisers in Perspective
Sometimes, fundraisers don’t do well. Your group may have carefully planned an event, lined up more than enough volunteers to help, and promoted it all over town.
But then it fizzles.
Often, it’s due something you couldn’t have controlled. Maybe there was horrible weather on the night of your event. Or perhaps other volunteer groups hosted similar fundraisers right before yours took place.
It happens. The good news is your group can bounce back, even if you have to cut back on some planned expenses. The best approach is to look at your event as a learning experience. Ask yourselves what, if anything, could your group do differently next time?
