How Does Your School Handle Food Allergies?
We know many schools work hard to handle food allergies and make sure kids are safe and happy at school. We’re teaming up with Enjoy Life Foods, a maker of allergy-friendly snacks and treats, to get the word out on best practices for handling food allergies in schools and we want to include your ideas.
Tell us how your school handles food allergies and you could win more than $1,000 in prizes for your school’s parent group! We’re looking for ideas on how your school handles food allergies in the cafeteria, in classrooms, at parties, at big events like carnivals, during after-school programs, field trips, when working with outside vendors, and through any educational programs it may offer. Together, we can put together an awesome collection of ideas!
So, here’s what to do: Head over to our Facebook page and add your idea as a comment in the contest thread. Your post counts as one entry to this contest.
This contest will run from Jan. 10 through Jan. 21, 2016. All qualifying entries will have a chance to win one prize. The grand-prize is $1,000 cash, plus a gift-basket of allergy-friendly treats from Enjoy Life foods! All Enjoy Life products are free-from the top eight most common food allergens (identified as wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish and shellfish)! There are two $500 prizes and we will also award an additional five gift baskets. All prizes are intended for your school’s parent group.
Also, if you want to learn more about how to live free from food allergens, check out the resources on Enjoy Life’s website.
