Holiday Coin Contest

To generate school spirit, the Roosevelt School PTA ran “Coins for a Claus.” A photo of each staff member who agreed to participate was attached to a canister. Students then voted by placing coins in the canisters. The staff member with the most “votes” dressed up as Santa Claus for the school’s holiday party, while the second-place finisher dressed as an elf. The “winner” was the new principal, who got to show students what a good sport he is. The money was donated to charity.
